Came across this Instagram post and it stuck on my head for the past several days.
I looked at his image for quite some time. I pondered how effective this image was. Today, I want to empty my mind because there are a lot of things going on right now. One of the things is, of course, developing running community here in Tajikistan.
Recently, purchased two domains for running: run.tj and dav.tj (the word "dav" in Tajik means "run"). I bought the domains with the intention to create helpful website where people may find upcoming running events in Tajikistan, get to know local runners and publish (in some cases, duplicate useful articles/tools about running). Deep down, I really want to foster running in Tajikistan be it through organizing regular running events or big events like marathon in Tajikistan. There are lots of challenges and uncertainties for now but it's better to start small then be afraid and stand in one place.
I believe running is not just simple act of placing one foot in front of the other. It is about peace of mind and body and believing in yourself that you can accomplish anything you set in front of you.
Putting all my thoughts and ideas on Notion and I hope soon websites will be up and running.
What began as nothing more than a spark of a thought has now taken shape before us, alive and undeniable. We didn’t just imagine it, we lived it, we felt it, and we proved that a simple idea can become something powerful when we dare to believe in it. This journey reminds me that every dream starts quietly, almost invisibly, yet with courage, effort, and heart, it grows into something that touches our lives and inspires us to keep reaching for more.
At the top of the Double Pass (northern), my brother Firuz asked me about our estimated plan of when we will be reaching the finish. Based on the information we had, I said: “Best plan is we reach by 7 PM, given or taken plus/minus 1 hour.” Little I knew how things could go wrong so fast.
